A Horse Named Charlie

I just want to say I really, really hate this horse. I woke up on Sunday in much pain because of Charlie's presence in my right calf. I have upped my milk and banana intake to no avail. The damage has been done and my right calf has hurt constantly since Sunday morning. In addition, this morning I could feel my left calf trying to scrunch up to Charlie's influence. Now, I only have this to say...GO HOME CHARLIE!

Angela, I feel for you. Charlie was a constant companion of mine for a few months =(

I noticed that the extra calcium in Tums helped me out a bit in taming Charlie (as well as the constant heartburn I had).

Water, drink lots of water! It's not like you aren't peeing all the time anyway (or at least that is how I felt).

Angie, I just wanted to add that this happens to me with pregnancy also, and what I've found best counters the Charlie horse as its happening is to immediately flex your foot to stretch the calf. Water and calcium helps them not to come, but when you feel that first little sting, if you do this they go away faster. :)

The same happened to me, too, but only with Grant. Charlie is a wretched, wretched horse, and he will go away (away baby comes). I had to drink more water and that did help somewhat. Bear the pain because your reward is soon on his way!!
